FAMILY OF JULIAN CHOATE AND ADDIE BUCKNER BEDDOE
Julian Choate was born 16 November 1912 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Married Addie Buckner Beddoe on 26 May 1938 in Dallas, Texas. On 29 January 1942 Julian enlisted in the the Air Corps as a Private at Will Rogers Field Oklahoma City, Pottawatomie, Oklahoma. He was stationed there at when his mother Lee Vernie Choate passed away in January of 1944. Julian and Addie became the parents of three sons and a daughter. Julian passed away on 2 June 1981 in Pineville, Rapides, Louisiana, and is buried in Grove Hill Memorial Park in Dallas, Texas.

Robert Julian Choate was born 22 March 1943 in Shawnee, Pottawatomie, Oklahoma. In 1971 Robert joined the U.S. Navy and served in Vietnam. Robert died 21 September 2000 and is buried at Fort Rosecrans National Cemetery in San Diego, California. His rank in the Navy was Petty Officer First Class.

Julian Choate aboard the U.S.S. General H.B. Freeman
Julian Choate served in the military during the Korean War, and at one point, Decemeber of 1950, had been heading to Korea from Japan aboard the U.S.S. General H.B. Freeman. Julian served under the company "Chosen Historian" a Colonel George A. Rasula, USA-Ret, Chosin Historian, and it is in these journals, called the "Changjin Journals" that we find numerous mention of Cpl. Julian Choate. Julian was well thought of, and at one point served as Acting Operations Sergeant overseeing such things as the disembarkment of jeeps from the ship into Pusan, Korea. Julian also was Col.
